Matched: Team X or Team K?

Matched was a good book, except for the love triangle inside the book and that is what I'm here to critique about.

In the beginning of the book we are first introduced to Cassia by reading her daydream about flying., which was then interrupted by Xander who later turned out to be her match. A childhood best friend, Xander has been in love with Cassia Reyes for a long time. Of course when they're matched Xander expresses theses feelings using their Match as an excuse.

Cassia thought everything was going to be okay until she saw Ky Markham on her matchee card, then all of a sudden it's like she can't tell Xander about her discovery. If she and Xander were really that close, I believe that she would have said something.

This proves that Ky is more important to her than Xander and therfore she chose Ky over him. Cassia later on escapes into a desert to find Ky, eventually she declares that she loves Ky and not Xander.

So, yeah I'm team Ky forget Xander because he never made her feel the way that Ky did. Xander was all about following the rules and the Society. But, Ky made her feel free he helped her see the lies that the Society fed them. -CandorBaby
